MISSION STATEMENT
Kauai Kimonos is a global lifestyle brand affiliated with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and fused with Hawaiian Style. Our mission is to use Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as tool for building healthy life-long friendships across the globe, and helping each other on and off the mats in all aspects of life.
Through innovation and hard work we are changing lives. We believe in giving back in the Aloha spirit, because BJJ has given us so much already. At the end of each year, we pledge to donate a percentage of our profits to one or more suitable charities:
- The Surfrider Foundation - A non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches. It was founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers in Malibu, California and now has over 50,000 members and 90 chapters worldwide.
- Children's Cancer Fund - Founded in 1993 by a small group of doctors, nurses and parents and based at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. The fund's primary goal is to establish and foster research in childhood cancer as well as enrich the quality of life for children with cancer by improving clinical and support services.
- Born Free USA - A national animal advocacy nonprofit organization whose mission is to end the suffering of wild animals in captivity, rescue individual animals in need, protect wildlife — including highly endangered species — in their natural habitats, and encourage compassionate conservation globally.
- Breast Cancer Prevention Fund - A non-profit organization on a mission to save women's lives by promoting prevention and early detection of breast cancer through awareness and education, and providing funds to pay for mammograms for uninsured women.
SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITIES
Pay it forward! By fundraising and sponsoring events throughout the year, we use Kauai Kimonos as a vehicle for improving and empowering our communities and to help bring people's lives around us to new heights. Our public works projects are focused in Indonesia and South East Asia because it is where our production is based. We aim to help others achieve self-empowerment and build positive relationships using Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a medium in the following ways:
- Local Orphanage Social Project - Sponsoring a BJJ program for Bali orphans who deserve better lives through martial arts.
- Local Tournament Organization - Promoting and sponsoring events and competitions throughout South East Asia and beyond.
- Sponsored BJJ Communtity Demos - Spreading BJJ to remote areas of the globe that have not yet been exposed to the art.
- Local Artist Network Program - Reaching out to local artists to help spread creativity by combining their art with our designs.

Kauai Kimonos strives to create elite BJJ Gi's that are fashionable, functional and filled with Aloha. We have dedicated ourselves to an in-house production to maintain the best possible quality and attention to detail. Kauai Kimonos invented the first 100% Ripstop Ultra-light Gi and we are dedicated to researching and developing more industry firsts. The top quality Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu products that have emerged from our workshop are perfectly fitted, lightweight, strong and durable, and guaranteed to perform on the mat.
THE FOCUS
Our roots are in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and we will continue to develop our product line staying true to this pure BJJ message. We offer exclusive Hawaiian Style Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu kimonos in a variety of materials, color combination's, and sizing. As we develop our brand and offering new and unique products, we will continue to cater to the needs of the modern day Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi fighter. Kauai Kimonos has the highest standards of excellence in quality and our Gi's have been carefully designed in order to maximize your flow and enjoyment while rolling.
FUTURE OUTLOOK
Kauai Kimonos is here to stay. Our plate is full with projects and we are working hard to develop more unique industry firsts. The basic plan is to keep innovating and coming up with awesome gear to rock on and off the mat! We also have a commitment to spreading Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu throughout Indonesia and South East Asia and want to help out where ever we can. Kauai Kimonos is creating jobs and changing peoples lives for the better. We would be pumped to one day branch out into other areas to help put this awesome destination on the map for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tourism, collaborate with like minded individuals, and train lots of jiu-jitz!
